Doncaster Mumbler Awards 2020 Nominations so far: Mumblers Favourite Children’s Attraction/Day Out, Sponsored by Visit Doncaster
The Doncaster Mumbler Awards nominations went live a week ago and although we don’t usually publish the nominations and comments, I thought that every single person who receives a nomination deserves to read their messages of thanks & support at this time as things start to reopen.
Particularly as we are coming to the end of a really strange few months of closures.
As things begin to reopen, I hope that these comments show the family attractions nominated you how much you are appreciated by Doncaster families!
Remember nominations are open here until 31st July and the 5 nominees with most nominations go through to the final for the shortlist vote in September.
In alphabetical order (nominations up to 8th July 2020)
Bake Battle & Roll
Wonderful atmosphere and very welcoming. Plenty of space for children and a large variety of games for all ages. Rachel and James have created a great space for families to do something different.
Boston Park Farm
This farm is perfect for my family. Enough to do for our young children without it being too much. Animals, hay bales, out door equipment a maze and fantastic tearooms all at a great price! We love it here!
During lockdown it has been wonderful to have someone for children to run around and burn off energy whilst feeling safe. The grounds are well kept and it has been a favourite free place to visit.
It is a great family activity in a central location that is easy on the pocket. My daughter came here for the first time during a special needs Sunday session for her friend’s birthday party and I’ve got to say that the staff were fantastic with all the children. Great design through just and safety is paramount.
Staff are incredible, they always make you feel welcome and more like one of the family. My daughters have allergies and they make sure they cater for them. At Christmas they bought my children different food and gifts for the Christmas party so they weren’t excluded. My daughter is autistic and they always look out for her and make sure she’s safe. They have always made such an effort. We have missed them terribly during lockdown.
Care Free Fun
Shepherds Place Farm
family run, friendly, loads to see and do.
My daughter loves it here, she loves the icecream, the play area, the bouncy castles etc. It is local and the place that she asks to go to most.
The wow said the owl exhibition was amazing for little ones and the building is so welcoming
Yorkshire Wildlife Park
As a family we were lucky enough to have annual passes gifted to us by family. Every time we go to yorkshire wildlife park on every day is different. It’s always so clean and the staff are so friendly, professional and truly care about their jobs. Whatever the weather there is always something to do. The children love the animals and the encounters. It is clear to see all the animals are very well cared for. The staff are very knowledgeable about the animals and the children have learnt loads. The events are truly amazing and magical experiences!! Can’t recommend enough
Thanks to everyone who has nominated and well done to everyone who has a nomination so far. I really hope you’ve enjoyed reading the comments.
The five Family Attractions/Days Out with the MOST nominations will go to the final.
