Phoenix is an alternative provision for SEND/ SEMH children and young people from 8-16 years old based in Moss & Fenwick, near Askern Doncaster. Phoenix was created by a qualified Secondary SEND system leader, who is an experienced Executive Leader of a Multi Academy Trust , qualified SENCO and is also NPQH qualified. The Phoenix provision is led by a qualified, nurture trained SENDCO from the primary sector with QTS. Phoenix’s staffing also includes an experienced outdoor education Practitioner, early year practitioner and a counsellor/ psychotherapist.
Our Curriculum is bespoke for each child, based on their assessed needs driven by the child’s interests and intent. The curriculum provides children with the opportunity to plot, plan and develop their own learning journey, working with their Key Worker to identify the skills and experiences they think they need to achieve their learning targets, identified in their support plan (Phoenix Plan).
