In 2023 we are doing things a little differently. We asked our lovely Mumbler community to help us decide which charity we should support with proceeds from the raffle at the Doncaster Mumbler Awards this year.

The Hygiene Bank Doncaster
A grassroots charity working hard to alleviate hygiene poverty across the country. At The Hygiene Bank we believe everyone deserves to feel clean; that one day everyone living in Doncaster and the whole of the UK will have access to essential hygiene products. Unfortunately, we are a long way from achieving this as the cost-of-living crisis drives more people into hygiene poverty. The Hygiene Bank Doncaster project is run entirely by volunteers and we support the community through a network of over 70 community partners, including food banks, schools, charities and community services. Since we began in 2019 we have distributed 164 tonnes of essential hygiene and cleaning products. In 2022 we supported 10,878 households, comprising 31,000 individuals – of whom 2423 were babies, and 12,984 were children. We have seen a 47% increase in requests for support this year.
