Water Babies are the #1 baby swimming school in the world and we are delivering our world class lessons throughout the week to the babies and children of Doncaster!
We are passionate about our people. Our teachers remember every baby and child that they teach, because they genuinely care. They’ll ask about your day, if your little one is sleeping better and how their first day of nursery went. You’ll feel like you’re talking to a friend, because you are!
Our classes provide little ones with the opportunity to increase their social interactions with children their own age, whilst learning a life skill with their friends. And not only that, it’s a great place for grown ups to mix too – lots of our parents have made life-long friendships in the pool!
In our progressive programme, we’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim. Our lessons are carefully structured to nurture your little one’s physical and mental wellbeing whilst teaching water safety and building water confidence. You’ll be amazed as you see your little one moving from kicking and blowing bubbles to independently showing off their swimming strokes.
Aside from learning to swim, water confidence builds life confidence! Its true. Whether your little one has mastered a new skill or overcome a tricky period in the pool, everything they experience in the water will help them make waves on dry land too, eager and equipped for all new challenges that await them
Lessons are 30 minutes long, and you’ll be swimming each week in the same class with the same teacher. Our lessons are truly child led and because we understand that each child works at their own pace, we tailor each activity and skill to them. We never push, we only progress. Skills are delivered through songs, games and imagination. We believe that learning is done best when it’s made fun and there is a lot of science behind the play in the pool!
Swimming your little one underwater is key to building their water confidence and safety skills. Babies have a natural affinity with the water, so we’ll build on their natural reflexes and use word association from the get-go to prepare them to go beneath the surface. Safety is at the heart of everything we do, so we’ll only ever swim them when they’re ready.
You’ll be with your little one in the pool, so it’s a lovely bonding experience with skin-to-skin contact where you and them focus purely on each other away from the craziness of daily life. Your child will feel better connected to you while you’re holding them in the water, sharing the experience together and will be something both you and them will look forward to each week!
