However, customers still seem surprised when they find out we offer a class dedicated to newborns! We’re not just about play, we’re also about baby massage, yoga, sign language and early days support.
In fact these are actually the classes i’m most proud of. We’ve been the source of firm friendships and precious bonding time for many parents and our baby ‘graduates’ have had some truly wonderful things to say about the course including this amazing review from one of our recent mums:
Having just finished the baby development course I can’t recommend this enough! I started when my little boy was just under 4 weeks old and I was worried that he’d be slightly too young but I think it was perfect timing. Granted, he slept or fed through the majority of classes but it was invaluable for me as a Mum. The support I got from Claire, Grandma Jane and the rest of the amazing mums has helped so much when I was struggling with the early motherhood days. All the information you get is incredible and I’ve come back from every session with loads of ideas for play to support my baby’s development. Can’t wait to carry on our journey into discovery tots. The fact that the whole class has booked onto the next stage speaks volumes!
Our Baby Development course is especially designed for babies from birth to 6 months, and aims to support parents through this crucial time, providing simple ideas and techniques for loving play times that will help parents and babies to connect, calm and have fun while aiding baby’s development. My background as an early years teacher and early development specialist means I have a wealth of information and advice to help mums in these first nerve wracking months with a newborn.
The classes are also a great way to get out and meet other parents in your area with babies of a similar age. Many of our previous course attendees have continued to meet up long after their course ended
The classes are also unique in Doncaster as they introduce a range of activities, all in one course, suitable for even very young babies, including:
There is always a warm welcome, as the classes are kept deliberately small, ensuring a relaxed atmosphere where you can feel comfortable to attend to your baby’s needs (we know they may need to eat, sleep, cry or want a cuddle during class, and that’s no problem at all) and easily get to know the others in the group. We also set up a chat group in our first class and set homework such as getting together to eat cake at the local cafe! It is important to us that our mums look after themselves as well as caring for their precious new additions.
