The latest arrivals at Yorkshire Wildlife Park are some of the largest species to ever to walk the earth! Residents of the brand-new Pangea – Discovery of Dinosaurs will be wowing guests this Summer. Thirty-five life size Dinosaurs have been unearthed at this new permanent exhibition located at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Doncaster.
Learn all about these impressive beasts including the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex. This ‘King of the Lizards’ was one of the most ferocious to walk the earth with jaws capable of crushing a car. At 40ft long (12m), 12 ft tall (3.6m) and weighing over 6 tonnes, the T-Rex was a tour de force not be argued with.
Pangea is a fascinating collection of the many pre-historic species from the largest Jurassic giants such as the Diplodocus and Brachiosaurus to the Velociraptor – which despite what the films say, was actually the size of a large turkey! The scale of these amazing true-to-life dinosaurs is truly amazing and brought to life with animatronics, sound effects and lights.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park is home to many endangered and critical species including the Black Rhino, Giant Otters, Amur Leopards and Painted Dogs. Today, there are over 40,000 species threatened with extinction in a sweeping biodiversity crisis. The conservation work of Yorkshire Wildlife Park and the WildLife Foundation that is based at the Park is more important than ever.
