Work has recently begun on the Serenity Suite, a self-contained area housed within the Women & Children Hospital at Doncaster Royal infirmary, for people experiencing baby loss at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
The suite will vastly improve support for those grieving their baby. Currently women who suffer baby loss at Doncaster Royal Infirmary have to give birth to their sleeping babies on a busy labour ward, where they can hear other families celebrating, making the already difficult experience harder.
Of the £150,000 needed to support the appeal, a huge £130,000 has been raised through the efforts of local businesses, individuals, community groups, fellow charities and more.
