Hi everyone my name is Fi and I am a Mum to my 1 year old daughter who loves to be out and about at local baby groups or playing with all her toys and books at home. I am married and have lived in Doncaster all my life and I am currently training to be a breastfeeding support worker so I can volunteer with the National Childbirth Trust.
Last year I left my previous full time job in the retail industry, to do this role which I feel is a very fortunate position as I get to have an audience with the top people and decision makers within Maternity services across Doncaster and Bassetlaw. I have been very busy, most recently having a look at the newly refurbished Central Delivery Suite at DRI!
As Chair I am able to share the feedback (both positive and negative), opinions and suggestions of other mums and their families in order to work with them to improve Maternity services in our area. I do not work for the NHS, I am self-employed and completely independent, working flexibly across 1 and a half days per week.
The Doncaster and Bassetlaw MVP has not had an independent local mummy chair for a long time, however I am really enjoying building up relationships with current and future members of the MVP as we really can make a difference together.
