We’re a month into lockdown…a month of social distancing and home schooling, with several more weeks at least until we can resume some kind of normality.Being at home can be frustrating and affect our mental health and well-being…here is something to help you feel positive, look after yourself & learn something new for when this is all over!We think it is fair to say that everyone is feeling some level of stress at the moment. Whether you’re going through this period of isolation alone, at home with a baby or toddler and craving interaction with other grown-ups, a parent worrying about how your teenager is coping, or a teenager missing spending time with friends and wondering what to do next, it’s a challenging time.
We’re going through a very different time in our lives and over the past few weeks we have learned to socialise in different ways & develop new routines. We also have the chance to look at our priorities for when this is all over.
We are seeing lots of new skills to learn across social media, from cooking, to languages and yoga. If you have children, there are lots of ideas to keep them entertained. What if you could do something new at home, that is just for you? Cirque specialise in delivering a more interactive style of learning. Whilst their training is normally delivered in their offices on Silver Street, they have just created a brand new online course! As well as teaching new skills, they can help support your mental health and well-being during the lockdown.
The course is based around new modern make-up techniques and is funded by Doncaster Council. Run by a professional make-up artist, you’ll be looking after yourself, as well as learning, so that’s a win win!

To be eligible, you must be living in Doncaster, earning under £16,000, unemployed or home, looking after dependents. Completion of the course will enable further study towards a Beauty Guild qualification*.
The resources required for the course are basic skincare products, such as moisturiser and your make-up bag…that’s it! You’ll find out some little and quick tips to help you feel more positive about life, yourself and your future.
