We signed up for something wild everyday in June!
During half term we were in the garden quite a bit and discovered all kinds of insects, bugs and beasts.
Organised by The Wildlife Trusts, there are free resources that can be downloaded within minutes, or if you want to extend it throughout the summer and can wait a few days for postage, they will post a pack out to you,. The pack has a wall chart, stickers, interactive booklet and poster.
It was very simple to download though, just visit the 30 days wild website
I love that there are some very simple things to do that remind us how to appreciate nature such as ‘Cuddle your favourite tree’ or ‘Get up close to a Garden Snail’. We found a snail in the garden and my mini mumbler enjoyed watching it and seeing it’s trail. It was a very pampered snail, being given hand picked leaves to munch on too!
Try 30 Random Acts of Wildness in 30 Days and connect with the wildlife around you – it’s a perfect way to get started. There is some inspiration on the YWT Potteric Carr Nature Reserve facebook page
