Then why not explore Doncaster on this self-guided Murder Mystery themed Treasure Trail. As you follow the Trail route, can you solve the sneaky clues set on existing buildings, permanent features and monuments to eliminate the suspects to discover whodunit?
The circular Trail route starts in the middle of Doncaster and shows you many different sides to this town of many faces. You’ll be solving Clues via the theatre, museum, park, market, minster and old Roman fort so there’s plenty to discover!
Trails are done in your own time and at your own pace, one trail booklet is enough for 4-5 people.

Jurassic Week at Stockeld Park!

Did you think the age of dinosaurs was well and truly over? Think again! Enter through our Jurassic gates this Spring and prepare yourselves for a MONSTER day out because something ROAR-some is happening at Stockeld Park during May half term!
Take a walk through the Enchanted Forest but watch out… somewhere deep inside, dinosaurs are on the loose and we need your help to find them!
You can dig for fossils at our dig site and take part in our dino craft sessions with the Stockeld Rangers too!

Join us in the Endless Oceans Gallery at 11am and 3pm for our interactive shark senses work shop and discover the amazing senses that sharks have used to survive for over 450 million years. Often described as a jewel in Doncaster’s crown, Cusworth Hall is a beautiful Grade I listed building set in acres of historic parkland. The house was built between 1740 and 1744 for local land owner William Wrightson and recent refurbishments have transformed the Hall into Heritage Doncaster’s social history museum.
From setting up home to working and socialising, the museum collections reflect the daily lives of people in Doncaster from the 18th century to the present day.
Today, visitors can step inside the Hall’s Great Kitchen where many feasts were prepared and view the stunning paintings on the ceiling of the chapel. Admission to the museum is free. Opening times:
The historic parkland surrounding Cusworth Hall is open to the public every day of the year. It’s the perfect location for picnics, walks with the dog, or family days out.
Children’s play areas and a playing field are also located within the Park and a variety of walking trails are available from the Hall reception. Admission to the Park is free (car parking charges apply)

From Sat 25th May, Magna Science Adventure Centre will signal the start of the summer months when it re-opens its popular AQUA-TEK outdoor splash park this May half term. Children of all ages can create a splash with the range of water-based activities AQUA-TEK offers, including hidden sprays, mists and jets of water.
In addition, visitors will be able to explore the SCI-TEK adventure play area. Specially designed to let children of all ages explore and learn through play, SCI-TEK is a wonderland of texture, colour and fascinating features! The fun goings on this May Bank Holiday coincide with May half-term and the annual British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ (BIAZA)’s Love Your Zoo week which calls for communities to visit and support their local zoos and wildlife parks and the role they play in conservation, welfare and the environment.
Amongst many other experiences, visitors to the park this week will learn about the amazing rescue of the Brown Bears from Japan, see the Amur tigers – the largest of all the big cats in the world, and walk amongst the animals in the South America Viva reserve.
Comic Book Superheros event.
A special new event takes place during Spring Bank Holiday weekend – a marvellous Comic Book Superheroes event from Friday May 31st until Sunday June 2nd.
The incredible Superheroes weekend will include an immersive exhibition of life-sized statues of iconic characters including Spider-Man, Iron Man and Hulk, and original comics, in partnership with The World of Superheroes.
The event, taking over the park in Branton, near Doncaster, will also include a spectacular ‘Hollywood Movies Stunt Show’ every day.
Visitors can enjoy an amazing Fan-Zone, which showcases comic book models along with face-painting, superhero crafts and a themed trail around the park. You can even grab a selfie with a 1989 Batmobile!
The incredible Stamping and Paper Craft Show returns to The Dome on Saturday 2nd June.
If you’re in to crafting, the show is organised by Which Craft? who have stall in the Corn Exchange, Doncaster Market.
