A sign of spring is the arrival of baby animals, especially the lambs! Here is our round-up of great places to see baby lambs and other farm animals in and around Doncaster 🐑🐣🐰
Boston Park Farm
Boston Park Farm is a traditional working farm, with the farm park which is open to the public and allows children to get up close with a wide range of farm animals. You can pet and feed most of the animals and also join in with animal handling sessions. The whole experience is geared up to suit children up to around 10 years old. With outdoor climbing frames, swings, slides, a go-kart track, mud kitchens and a bale pyramid to climb, as well as an indoor soft play, bouncy castle, play kitchen and sandpit, there’s loads of fun to be had!

Cannon Hall Farm
Spring is a great time to visit with hundreds of baby lambs, goats and piglets due to be born. There are also fantastic play areas (indoor and outdoor) and a whole programme of activities. The farmers will be in the roundhouse every day answering your questions.

Wentworth Garden Centre and Family Farm
Recently rebuilt and revamped, Wentworth’s Family Farm is the ideal place to visit with the whole family. Visit the farm this Easter from 29th March – 21st April 2025 for animal handling sessions, Easter colouring and more.

The Ranch Farm Shop and Cafe
Help out the farmer with some of their daily jobs, including meeting and feeding the goats, lambs, and hens, and collecting eggs from the orchard. Running from 9th April – 1st May 2025.

Graves Park Animal Farm
Graves Park Animal Farm provides a popular home to some of the rarest breeds of farm animals in the country. You can get up close and personal with Tamworth pigs, Highland cattle and Jacob sheep, plus goats, donkeys, waterfowl and many more. The animal park is FREE to visit but is offering lamb bottle feeding experiences from 24th March – 11th May 2025 for £10 per person.

Hall Farm Park

Pink Pig Farm

There are always loads of lovely animals to see at White Post Farm! From alpacas to meerkats, there are lots of different animals to meet. From 5th – 21st April 2025, you can have a go at their Easter trail and meet the baby lambs.

Aston Springs Farm
A beautiful woodland trail including meerkats, alpacas, rheas, sheep, pigs, chickens, donkeys, deer, goats, ponies, reptiles and more plus a play area. They have an Easter trail on from 18th – 21st April 2025 and you can book on to their goat experience from 5th – 21st April 2025.

Rand Farm Park
There are plenty of animals to see including goats, donkeys, ponies and alpacas. You can take part in their Easter hunt from 5th – 22nd April 2025.

Beetle Bank Open Farm
From alpacas to pigs, turkeys to goats, there are lots of wonderful animals for you to get to know. You can also let off steam in the fields, go wild in the adventure playground, have fun in the sand pit or ride on the tractors and play with the inflatables. They are offering lamb and goat bottle feeding experiences throughout the Easter holidays.

Matlock Farm Park
Take a leisurely walk around the park to see and pet many of the field animals including cows, sheep, pigs, goats, donkeys, and more! Visitors can learn about the new lambs at our cade lamb sessions, watch them being fed and get involved in gentle petting. Children can also follow an Easter Treasure Trail every day from 5th April – 21st April 2025.
