Doncaster Things are everywhere, whether you enjoy Adventure Things, Outdoor Things or Learning Things, or maybe you prefer Nature Things, Create Things and History Things. Some little ones also love Perform Things and Active Things!
There are lots of adventures to be had right on our doorstep in Doncaster to help our little ones to have new experiences and develop their skills; learning about dinosaurs, pretending to be a pilot, becoming a countryside ranger or even finding fairies!
The ‘100 Things Before 11’ list has been designed to encourage little ones to try out 100 exciting activities just like these, and to give families the inspiration to discover all of the great things they can do outside of school.
Download the free ‘100 Things Before 11’ activity book and begin your adventures, or visit your nearest library or Family Hub to collect an activity book! Grown-ups can even share photos and videos by using the hashtag #100ThingsDN
Click on the ‘Things’ below to see what you can do today.
We LOVE trails! We’ve been fans of geocaching for a while. It gets us outdoors, active and exploring!
There are millions of geocaches hidden around the world and lots in Doncaster already, however we were excited to create our own Doncaster Mumbler Geocache trail as part of the ‘100 Things before 11’ campaign.
Geocaches can come in all different shapes and sizes and they are such a great thing for families to get involved in.
To find our geocaches, you will need a handheld GPS device (we use our phone and google maps).
The locations in which we have hidden geocaches so far are:
We’d love it if people could test these out and let me know that they have been found! Use the hashtag #MumblerGeocache and #100ThingsDN on social media.
You will find these instructions inside each geocache.
There are lots of ‘treats’ inside. We find the kids walk miles to find a geocache and are delighted when they find the treasure!
Quick Tip – remember to take something small to leave behind. It can be anything, keyring, rubbers, sitckers, things from Christmas Crackers! Party favours!
If you find geocaching fun, check out loads more on geocaching.com or download the geocaching app to your phone.
