Letter from Centre Manager Di Rogers, 11th June
Although the shopping centre benefits from being an outdoor centre, the health and wellbeing of our staff, shoppers and visitors remains our absolute priority so we have introduced a number of important changes in order to offer an enjoyable and safe shopping experience for all.
There are clear markings on the ground to help if you need to queue outside a store, we have hand sanitiser stations around the centre and are observing strict social distancing.
We will all have to work together to ensure we follow the social distancing rules at the centre and in the stores, so your patience and understanding whilst we get used to our new way of shopping is greatly appreciated.
To keep the stores as safe as possible for you we have adjusted our opening hours to 10am-5pm every day, and 10.30am-4.30pm on Sundays, to allow for thorough cleaning of every shop floor.
We have also had to temporarily close our play areas and remove the children’s rides from the mall. We hope to get them back open as soon as possible.
Certain stores will remain closed for a little while longer, but we will provide regular updates on our website and social media channels as soon as we have new information to share.
This has been an incredibly challenging time for the whole country, and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for sticking with us. On behalf of everyone here at Lakeside Village, their families and the wider community we also want to express our utmost admiration for all the NHS and key workers who have played such a large part in managing the current crisis and ultimately enabling us to re-open safely.
