Doncaster and the surrounding areas are a fantastic place for bringing up children and there is plenty going on children.
Below is a list of all the local playgroups and drop in clinics throughout the week and also details of all the children’s activities classes available across our area. Please contact the organisers directly if you would like to find out further information or to confirm class times or costs.

Cast Youth Theatre is for young people ages 3-26. It is an exciting high energy group, combining fun drama activities and games, singing, dancing and imagination.
After a break during lockdown, the Youth Theatre groups will return with social distancing measures and a few changes to keep everyone safe.

Puddle Ducks Doncaster’s Baby & Pre-School programme (0-4) provides a wonderful bonding experience and our progressive lesson plans instil a water confidence and love of swimming. Our nurturing teachers – the most highly qualified in the business – tailor activities to your child’s abilities and needs and we make learning to swim fun! Our baby & Pre-school programme is offered through five levels Floaties (0-6months), Splashers (6-15months), Kickers (15months to 2.5 years),Little Dippers (2-5 years) and Dippers (2-5 years)
For older children, whether they have come from a pre-school class or never been in the water before, Swim Academy (4-10 years) will take your child from ‘getting their faces wet’ to being an independent swimmer and who knows, maybe a future Olympic champion.

Our award winning 2 hour paediatric first aid class is designed to give parents, parents to be & grandparents the confidence and skills to provide emergency life saving care to babies and children should they have an accident or fall ill. The class will cover CPR, choking, meningitis, febrile convulsions and much more.

The youth group of the Little Theatre caters for children and young people from the age of seven and delivers drama workshops during term time. Currently there are three youth performances per annum when children can show-case the skills that they have learned.

Mini Morning screenings take place on Saturday’s, with various films shown at a discounted rate for little ones and parents. It makes it a really affordable way to see films on the big screen.
We have been to a few Mini Mornings and I liked it as the children didn’t have to be so quiet and it didn’t matter if they wriggled or needed to go to the loo…everyone was in the same situation!
