We’re delighted to introduce you to Rachel, who is the new Project Support Officer at the NHS Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group. Rachel will be focused on the Doncaster MVP and is here to tell us a bit more about their plans and how you can get involved.
“My name is Rachel and I started in my new post in June. I jumped at the chance to be involved with the MVP!
The past year has been anything but normal and we understand how difficult it has been for families. The Maternity Voices Partnership is a way for mothers, fathers and partners to share their experiences, knowledge and skills to build developments to local maternity services. We honestly can’t shape and improve maternity services without contribution from local parents. If you have had a baby in the last five years, your views are invaluable. As well as providing us with feedback about your experience, it is an opportunity to meet other mums too.
Currently the MVP group meetings are being held virtually every quarter, but we are returning to face to face as soon as possible.
Our next virtual meeting is due to be held on Thursday 16th September 2021, 10am-11.30am, which we welcome you to come along to. Grab a brew and please come and join us if you can.
You can access the Doncaster Maternity Voices Partnership meeting on your computer or mobile app via this link. Click here to join the meeting.
Another project that I am supporting is the Doncaster Children and Young People’s Mental Health Trailblazer Pilot, as part of the Government’s ambitious plans to transform children and young people’s mental health through the NHS Long Term Plan. The Pilot is currently in 8 education settings across Doncaster and Rotherham with aims of having it in place within all schools and colleges.
We are looking forward to some exciting things over the next year with Doncaster Mumbler too, we can’t wait to share it all with you!”
