Rosa’s Room Memory Walk & Fundraiser

September 30, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 2:30 pm

Rosa’s Room Memory Walk & Fundraiser will be held at Crowle Community Hall on Sunday 30th September from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm. We are arranging this fundraising event in memory of our daughter, Rosa, who was born sleeping last year. The event will be held a year to the date that our little girl passed to commemorate the brief time we were able to spend with her and how much we will always love her.

The co-ordination of the event, organised by Lisa Hensby from Baby Dinosaurs and myself, will begin at 10am where everyone will meet for a “Butty & a Brew” before we set off on a short walk around Crowle to remember or pay respect to those little ones that have been lost. At the end of the walk we will release helium filled, biodegradable balloons as a symbol of love and remembrance. Coffee and cake will then be available while a short talk is given on our chosen charity, Tommy’s, and the amazing work that they do. Support from local midwives and support groups will also be available for anyone who feels they need any advice. Following on from this there will be a children’s cat walk, where children from the local community will model clothes from Rosa’s Room and have their pictures professionally taken. After the cat walk has finished there will be a children’s entertainer, glitter face-painting, DJ, soft play area and many other activities to keep the kiddies happy! We will be revealing more as the event draws closer! Tickets are available for pre-order (just message us) and a limited amount will be available on the door.

Tickets are £4.00 per adult and £2.00 per child.

Rosa’s Room Memory Walk & Fundraiser in conjunction with Baby Dinosaurs aims to raise as much money as possible for Tommy’s Charity.
Tommy’s is a wonderful organisation which conducts research into the causes of stillbirth, miscarriage and premature birth, a cause which is greatly underfunded and undervalued in the UK. The statistics for stillbirth and miscarriage are shocking, with 1 in 4 pregnancies ending in one of these outcomes.

Most importantly, Tommy’s also provides free care to families who have suffered a stillbirth and are going through a subsequent pregnancy. They offer scans and tests that are unavailable on the NHS as well as a Rainbow Clinic with specially trained midwives and consultants. For a family who have suffered a stillbirth, this specialized care offers hope and reassurance- something that is much needed during this confusing time.

Please come and support us at this event so we can raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity. We hope to see you there!
