Whilst they can’t open up their building to the public just yet, the team over at Cast theatre have been squirrelling away creating a fun online adventure for families to take part in from their homes.
Adventures in Donnyland is an online, self-guided creative adventure for children aged 5 – 11 and their families.
Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, but with a local, Doncaster twist, Adventures in Donnyland is jam-packed full with simple but entertaining activities for your little ones. From baking scrummy jam tarts to creating bunting to hang up and celebrate the Queen’s of Hearts Jamteenery (yes, that’s a thing, didn’t you know?) there’s a lot of fun to be had.
Cast have put together a website with lots of Alice in Wonderland themed activities for you to enjoy as a family.
If you want to really get involved, Cast are also running free, online workshops to go alongside the Adventures in Donnyland project. These are on Mon 17 August and Wed 19 August, and all you need is access to the internet take part. Each workshop will be hosted by one of the characters from Donnyland (who are, coincidentally) trained drama practitioners); play drama games, get active and learn new Donnyland songs with them from the comfort of your living room.
