A historic house, surrounded by parklands, Cannon Hall is a lovely free day out for families. The museum is great to explore, with some dedicated children’s areas, and there are often free activities and trails during school holidays. There is plenty of outdoor space to picnic, play and explore and you can download a Sensory Map to use. There’s also a children’s play area with slides, swings, a roundabout, climbing frames, and interactives. The Pavilion Cafe and The Pear Tree Pantry offer hot and cold food and drinks.
Everything is free, but parking charges apply (£1 for 2 hours or £5 all day).
