Anyone can send a card to any teacher and it can be for anything – helping your child settle in, helping through a difficult time, understanding something tricky or just being supportive, kind or funny! It only takes a few minutes to do, is free, and means so much to a teacher by highlighting the positive work they are doing. The influence of a good teacher lasts a lifetime.
#ThankaTeacher is part of a national campaign which aims to raise the profile of teachers across the country and the vital work they do. Some teachers who have received thank you cards in the past have gone on to win an award at the prestigious National teaching Awards televised by the BBC as ‘Britain’s Classroom Heroes’. Why not give your teacher the chance to be part of this?
Teachers do such a great job and this scheme is about raising the profile of the teaching profession and showing gratitude to the amazing (and often unsung) work that teachers do every day of their lives.
Let’s see how many teachers we can thank this Christmas.
