Steeped in history and full of charm, Bishops’ House is both a museum and Sheffield’s best preserved timber framed building. It is free to enter.
There are trails for children to follow as well as dressing up clothes.
Young families tend to spend between half an hour and an hour in the house before heading towards the playground in the park. Those with an interest in history or historic buildings can easily spend over an hour looking around.
Being located at the top of leafy Meersbrook Park provides one of the finest views over Sheffield just a few metres away from the house. Bishops’ House is also on the route of Sheffield Round Walk and walkers will often pop in for a look around.
