***5 FREE Places for Mumblers!!! Mention Mumbler on the application and the course fee will be removed***
Following the success of our first lockdown filmmaking project, we’ve decided to run a second BFI Film Club, which will take place online and teach young people the skills they need to make their own films! The second Film Club will run from 9am-1pm every Saturday from 1 May until 26 June 2021 and will provide those who missed out on the oversubscribed first Film Club with the opportunity to take part.
This filmmaking course provides the chance to learn essential skills such as scriptwriting, cinematography, video editing and sound design. The £25 course fee will include all the equipment (tripods, microphones, etc) needed to aid the filmmaking process, which students can keep after the course has ended. Young film fans will work alongside industry professionals to create a short film which will be screened at an industry event at CAST in Doncaster when it is safe and sensible to do so. This is a fantastic opportunity for those new to filmmaking to gain new skills and for experienced young filmmakers, it’s a brilliant way to develop existing skills further.
To apply for the BFI Film Clubs you must:
• Be aged 12–15 years old on the first day of the course
• Be based in Doncaster
• Have a passion or talent for filmmaking and an ambition to work in the film industry
• Be able to commit to the duration of the course (9 Saturdays, 1 May – 26 June 2021)
If this sounds like an opportunity which could help any of the young people you know, feel free to get in touch. Prospective filmmakers can apply online with the below link

The deadline for applications is Sunday 25th April at 5pm.
