Acro Bees is a unique adult and child activity using story yoga, acrobatics and physical movement to develop early years milestones & socialisation skills.
Each session is told through a new exciting story following Acro the Bee on his adventures, where he will discover all about the world around us and teach all the Acro Bees about what he sees.
Not only will children learn about the world, but they will get to act out each story using simple (for younger members) and more advanced (for older children) yoga and acrobatics movements.
Each session is packed full of movement, songs, equipment (to go on/around/over etc) numeracy and literacy skills, all taught in a fun, enthusiastic and exciting way. Acro Bees classes start with our very own Acro Bees warm up rhyme, which gets the children ready to begin their physical activity and ensures their little bodies are ready for the activities to come. By using our special rhyme it also helps little minds focus on the session.
We follow our warm up with a new original story which children are fully part of. Each story focuses on the basics of acrobatics and yoga; strength, balance, flexibility and stamina. All of our sessions aim to develop fine and gross motor skills, literacy, numeracy, emotional and social development.
We end with our original Acro Bees cool down rhyme calming the mind and getting ready to say goodbye.
All of our sessions are suitable for all ages: Babies can listen to the sounds and see the sights and movement around them, while adults can use the session as physical activity for themselves. Children from walking age upwards can be fully involved in each session and develop the bond between themselves and the caregiver whilst doing the activities together.
Acro Bees has been specifically designed to ensure that our children have the best start in life in regards to physical activity and socialisation. At Acro Bees we want to make physical activity a normal exciting part of life that each child carries through in to adulthood.
Acro Bees is a place where new friends are made not only for the children attending but for adults too – we have all spent too long without the social interaction we all need and where better to do that but within an Acro Bees session full of fun and laughter!
Acro Bees sessions run on Mondays & Fridays 10.00-11.00am (Rossington) and Wednesday 11.30am-12.30pm (Harworth). Sessions are run as 6 weekly blocks with a one week break in between and are £7 per session, payable as a block in advance.

Acro Bees was developed and is delivered by Jemma. Jemma has run the RFTS School of Dance for 21 years and has been teaching dance and acrobatics for 26 years. Jemma is also a mum of 3 with 25 years of parenting under her belt. After finding no suitable activities for her then 2 year old son to join once the pandemic restrictions were lifted, Jemma’s goal is to ensure that physical activity is accessible for all ages and that children are able to develop their early years goals in a fun and interactive way, whilst also giving parents/adults the time to spend with their child.
The classes are a unique experience and Jemma loves nothing more than bringing each story to life.
